The compact disc harrow LEMKEN Rubin 10, now a multi-tool

Requirements for reducing the application of plant protection products in cereal crops are becoming increasingly stringent. As a result, stubble cultivation is gaining importance as an effective option for mechanical weed control.

With the compact disc harrows Rubin 10, LEMKEN offers the perfect machine to meet farmers’ individual requirements and needs for each application. The Rubin 10 ensures optimal mixing of soil and regrowth, even at shallow working depths and in challenging conditions.

Even the basic version of the LEMKEN Rubin 10 MR mounted on a plow is suitable for a wide range of applications. This machine is available in a rigid version with a working width of up to 4 meters. The series continues to feature proven equipment and technology.

Proven Technology and Much More

In the semi-mounted Rubin 10 TF, available with working widths from 4 to 7 meters, a series of innovative features have been introduced. The spacing between bars has been increased by 150 mm to 1,350 mm to ensure that organic matter settles better after the first row of discs, enhancing the cutting and mixing effect of the second row of discs. This further reduces the risk of blockages, even with large amounts of organic matter, and ensures even better working results.

The semi-mounted compact disc harrow Rubin 10 TF introduces two additional front tools: a leveling tines section and a front cutting roller, in addition to the well-known straw harrow.

In regions where straw is left in the field as organic matter, the self-regulating straw harrow of proven effectiveness reaches its full potential. Unevenly distributed straw from the harvester’s chopper or straw piles left after baling are common in many fields. The harrow collects these and releases them into the disc section in a controlled manner, greatly improving the collection effect and ensuring that the straw is incorporated more evenly throughout the field.

When using the compact disc harrow Rubin 10 TF to prepare the seedbed, the proven leveling tines section from LEMKEN’s Heliodor series of compact disc harrows is utilized. Large clods are pressed into the soil where they can be more effectively cut and mixed by the disc section. The tines can also be used in either dragging or gripping positions to vary the intensity of the cultivation.

With the cutting roller, LEMKEN offers a new option for front tools that is especially useful for oilseed rape or sunflower crops and also helps combat the European corn borer. The six blades cut and shred the organic matter before it is taken over by the disc section. The helical shape of the cutting roller ensures smooth operation, while the open design prevents blockages.

The Right Tool for Every Situation

To help farmers take full advantage of the wide range of available rollers, LEMKEN introduces a quick-change roller system for the Rubin 10 MR and TF. This allows farmers to switch between different single and double rollers very quickly and with minimal effort, optimally adapting the implements to their individual needs.

The two compact disc harrows Rubin 10 MR and TF will replace the existing versions starting in 2025.
