The next-generation New Holland T5 Dual Command Tractor
Revamped exterior style, new features inside: the next-generation New Holland T5 Dual Command Tractor.
Increased hydraulic capacity, new front axle option, factory-equipped loaders, complete connectivity and guidance features, the latest style from New Holland.
The New Holland T5 Dual Command tractor range, which includes five models ranging from 80 to 117 horsepower, all powered by 3.6-liter, four-cylinder FPT F36 engines, now features a new look and new characteristics, with a series of updates designed to enhance productivity and operator comfort.
The new T5 Dual Command tractor range will be showcased to the public at the Sommet de l’Élevage 2024 fair in France (October 1-4).
Improved Capacity to Boost Productivity
The revamped T5 Dual Command comes with an expanded range of rear tire options and a selection of front axles: a standard axle for light work and narrow applications, and a new Heavy Duty axle for tractors engaged in heavy loader work and intensive field tasks. It also offers the option of the exclusive New Holland SuperSteer™ front axle, featuring a 76° steering angle to further enhance maneuverability and productivity during tight turns at headlands, in small fields, and on livestock farms. The new wheelbase of 2.35 meters combines this maneuverability with stability.
Tractors equipped with the standard front axle benefit from a 20% increase in steering capacity under load for quicker turns, while the more robust Heavy Duty axle increases the vehicle’s gross weight limit to 7,000 kg. When equipped with 38-inch rear tires, T5 tractors achieve a clearance height of 480 mm and a total height below 2.67 meters, minimizing the risk of crop damage and maximizing access to any facility.
The T5 Dual Command models also see a 7% increase in rear lifting capacity, reaching 4,700 kg, while the new 82 l/min hydraulic pump provides a 30% increase in hydraulic flow for quicker implement connection and faster loader cycle times.
More Technology Combined with Greater Comfort
The transmission in these new models features the Dual Command 24F/24R system, with four speeds, three ranges, and a two-speed Powershift, as well as an electronic reverser.
The new automatic differential lock and automatic four-wheel drive engagement simplify headland turns, while the new front PTO with oil-immersed discs is quieter, easier to connect, and maintenance-free, offering more comfort and versatility.
Externally, the new T5 tractors have a refreshed style with new front and side grilles, and new branding that matches other recently updated New Holland machines. A new U-shaped exhaust ensures an unobstructed front view, while improved working headlights with an optional LED light package enhance visibility and safety in the field and on the road.
The T5 Dual Command tractors benefit from Comfort Ride mechanical cab suspension for a smoother ride both in the field and on the road. These models also feature a redesigned digital dashboard that makes information easier to read.
With growing customer demand for the same standards of precision agriculture technology found in higher horsepower models, the new T5 Dual Command models can be equipped with telematics and a complete set of precision agriculture technologies, including auto-steering, IntelliView 12 touchscreen, and Class 2 ISOBUS implement connectivity. New Holland’s FieldOps platform, available worldwide, allows for real-time monitoring of the machine, including exact location and service status, as well as remote viewing of the cab displays and agronomic data layers.
The first units of the new T5 Dual Command will arrive at New Holland dealerships by the end of 2024.
